“Hummingbird is, in short, a spectacular album. (…) a set of musical paintings that elevate themselves to the level of immortality”

Liane (born 12 January 1992) is a Portuguese singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist. Her music has its roots in rock, alternative and pop, mainly inspired by the influences of Queen, Muse, Steven Wilson and more. Aside from the obvious connection to rock music, the Portuguese artist also draws knowledge and inspiration from other genres: jazz, pop, blues and country.
Liane’s vocals can make use of the styles of blues and jazz, but also of her aggressive tones that derive from her rock influences. From country music, the artist utilises the deep and emotionally charged lyrics that underline this genre, while borrowing the memorable character of pop vocal melodies.
After releasing her debut album Colibri (en: Hummingbird) back in Portugal, an album that focused on the socio-political and economic reality of that country, Liane is now developing her second studio work, shifting her gaze towards more international issues.
